Dear Church Family,

It is with a very heavy heart that I share with you that Bobbie Fikes, our friend & church executive administrator,  suffered a serious head injury yesterday, here at the office.  Bobbie was rushed to surgery at Eisenhower and all possible was done but today she went home to Heaven. 

Please pray for her husband Tim, daughter Wendi and extended family.  Bobbie was on staff for over seven years and is precious to us all. We know the Lord will give comfort and strength to her family and to us to continue in His service, and Bobbie will always be a part of our DSC ministry.

Special Prayers Needed for Our 
Supported Missionaries  

We need to continue to lift our brothers and sisters in Christ who are in the Ukraine under attack. Our missionaries Jim & Annie Leonovich are in daily contact with the supported churches and Pastors.  

Evangeline Byrnes-St. Clair is back in the Philippines continuing her aide to the church and city that needs rebuilding after the terrible hurricane.  Evangeline works tirelessly, always giving God the glory and thanking Him for the opportunity to serve Him in her country.  Pray for her strength, financial support and health.

Urgent prayers still  needed for Pastor Tony Vaz in Guinea Bissau.  He has major heart issues and if he is to survive he needs to go immediately to Portugal for a surgery.  The PRAISE REPORT we have is that he was finally issued a visa to go to Portugal!   Please continue to pray for the sustaining of his life, for an airline seat to open up and for his health to be good enough to travel.

Junio Souza in Nepal.  Junio as been diagnosed with Hepatitis C and having to undergo very expensive treatments.  We pray for quick healing and their financial needs to be met so they continue to share the gospel in Nepal.

Carol Smoke needs our special prayers as she is getting ready for surgery and treatments for her cancer.  After just losing Jim the burdens on Carol and her family are heavy.  Pray for them daily, when you awake in the night, as you are driving....

PASTOR JIM SMOKE  

As most of you know, our precious Pastor Jim Smoke went home to be the Lord on Tuesday afternoon, May 20th. 

Pastor Jim's Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, June 2nd was a wonderful time to reflect on Jim's life and his devotion to Carol, family & friends.  His love of the Lord was first and foremost in his daily life.  He reflected Jesus by humbly serving others first.  Jim will be dearly missed by all of us.

His wife Carol and family appreciate the loving prayers of so many.  Cards and notes may be sent to the church address for Carol and the Smoke family.
