Our sweet sister Roz Morcus went to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 7, 2013. Her celebration service is scheduled for Friday, May 3rd at 1pm. Roz served with her whole heart here at Desert Springs. She will be missed by all of us, her family, friends and Red Hat ladies.
Phil Lopiccola, a wonderful man of God, husband, father & friend has gone on to the arms of Jesus. His wife Lorraine is trusting in the Lord for comfort and peace, as this was quite sudden with no warning. She believes in God's perfect plan for Phil and is thankful he did not have to suffer. Phil was just 67 years young and a part of our GO!Team. A servant for the Lord, now getting his eternal rewards. We Give Thanks...

"Shelter from the SUN" - please join in our donation drive for the homeless; collecting items to help protect them from the hot summer sun. You can pick up the list of items needed or email lkeener@desertspringsfamily.org .
Continue to pray with us as we finalize details with the Narrow Door Ministry to feed the homeless of Palm Desert. We plan to serve dinner one night a week, hand out hygeine kits and share the love of Jesus!

ReplyDeleteThis morning I received a call from Lorraine Lopiccola that her dear husband Phil passed away suddenly. At just 67 years old and in good health it was totally unexpected. Phil served quite often with the GO!Team and I so enjoyed his sweet spirit. Lorraine and family are praising God that Phil did not suffer and accept that the Lord took him home in his timing. Thank you for lifting this family in prayer. We will miss Phil!

I am sorry to say that Mel Freeman passed away yesterday. I will be posting more information as it comes. He loved the Lord and today he has no more pain, no more tears....

Update on Joan Rohm, she is scheduled for surgery to repair a torn ligament in her neck on May 9th. Please pray for complete success in surgery and complete quick recovery. Her husband Walter and family will be by her side!
