DISCIPLES = WITNESSES

Jesus said the disciples will be His witnesses.
Not His lawyers. And not the judges. But His witnesses.

“So when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking Him,
‘Lord, has the time come for You to free Israel and restore our kingdom?’
He replied, ‘The Father alone has the authority
to set those dates and times, and they are not for you to know.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you.
And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere –
in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’
After saying this, He was taken up into a cloud
while they were watching, and they could no longer see Him.”

As a disciple of Jesus Christ we’re to be a living witness to the redeeming work He has done in our lives. That doesn't mean we’re perfect or that we have it all together. It just means that we’re devoted to growing more like Christ every day.

Notice, too, the order in which Jesus said the disciples are to be witnesses: Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth. Jerusalem was their local community. Judea was the rest of their home country. Samaria was a neighboring country. And the “ends of the earth” represented everything geographically beyond the neighboring country of Samaria.

In the same way, we’re also called to be witnesses:
  • in our local community
  • in our home country
  • in our neighboring countries
  • and to the countries beyond those nearest us
This will look differently for each of us. But each of us can do something.
What is one way we can be a witness in our own “Jerusalem” — our own local community?
What is one way we can be a witness beyond our local community?

MONTHLY MISSIONS UPDATE

"For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor with a shield." Psalm 5:12

A word from our missionaries, Alan & Alei Hussey with Action International in Manila, Philippines:

The feeding programs are going well and we have begun linking our church here, Greenhills Christian Fellowship South Metro (GCFSM), with the ministry which is exciting. We have teachers volunteering their time, people leading games, and supporting the ministry in many other ways. Its great to see our church here step up and get involved in these ways.

The video ministry is going well also but I have so many projects going on now.  Please pray for the ability to do each one well to the glory of God. If you would like to see the videos I have completed thus far please click on this link.

Please pray for our support. Last furlough (2011) we had set a budget for our work here in the Philippines. We came to the field 100% funded, and 2 years in the field, our support has dropped and we are $500.00 short of our budget every month. Please pray that support would pick up again until our next furlough. Our next furlough will be the summer of 2016.

We are so thankful for what the Lord is doing here and are so blessed to be a part of it. Thank you for your partnership with us in this ministry. God is good!

Sincerely in Christ,
Adam, Alei & Eliana

Message from Evangeline Byrnes-St.Clair, our missionary in Tacloban, Phillipines.

Our workers including me (Evangeline) are patiently teaching, and sharing the gospel by the Holy Spirit leading us to the lost souls into a relationship with Christ Jesus; and taking courage in God’s will. I believe the Lord is working out His will in Utap for His glory and honor. We thank you for your untiring labor of love and support, “Praise God”. We are praying for more churches and Christian hearts like yours that are willing to partner with us. Or someday will come and visit us, (come and see) in Utap, Tacloban and Region 8 in the Philippines.

Our prayers continue for blessings to be upon His harvest, and for the Lord Jesus Christ to send more laborers into the field. We are so sure and aware our enemy is very busy trying to hinder our growing, glowing and going ministry. But Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world. We are always claiming the victory that God has entrusted into us for we know that we are always on the victorious side. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ overcame the world already by shielding His precious blood at the Cross of Calvary. The brethren in NLUBC-Mission in Tacloban in the Philippines are so grateful for your love to the lost souls.

PRAISES:

*That our God reveals His faithfulness to the new believers and find ways to supply their daily needs physically.

* For the survivors that now have assurance in Christ Jesus relationship, to continue seek God’s well, mercies and peace.

*To ALL who have stand with us in here in our works to glorify God.

*For ALL financial support, under girding us through prayers, your effort to encourage us and continue serving our God faithfully because of your loving kindness to us.

PRAYER REQUESTS:

· Safety during our travel visitation, good health, strength and protection.

· Zealousness in the mission work, unity to the people living nearby in their poverty of life in a relationship with each other and with Christ Jesus.

· The completion of the ongoing disaster project to recover.

· Group and one to one Evangelism

· Follow up discipleship, (Very difficult to gather people).

· For more Christian hearts are willing to help us.

· Sending more soul burdened hearts and laborers to help us to rebuild.

· For God’s will during our visitation in the Tacloban Jail/Prison, that God intervenes for our prisoner man or women and for the cooperation of the Police Officer in charge.

Thank you once again for your labor of love. “Jesus Paid the Price for our Redemption at Calvary.” Hebrews 9:26

In season together we will reap what we sow. Your labor in the Lord is not in vain. Thank you once again for your labor of love. We always pray that our loving God will richly bless you. “Yours for Serving to the fullness each day for Christ Jesus.” “In His calling I will follow His work in Missions, and Fully Rely On God.
