Desert Springs Church Pictorial Directory!  Be part of our first church pictorial directory, this if for anyone who considers Desert Springs their home church (snowbirds included). 

Lifetouch professional portraits are scheduled for March 13, 14 & 15 and March 20, 21 & 22.  It's easy to set your appointment online, just go to our website www.desertspringsfamily.org and click on the banner that says Pictorial Directory. 

Photo's are taken in the Family Room and by taking part you will receive a FREE 8x10 portrait and a FREE church pictorial directory. There will be an opportunity to purchase additional portrait packages but no obligation. 

DESERT SPRINGS GARAGE SALE!

Saturday, March 29th.  Please drop off your items on Thursday, March 27th from 9am-4pm.  All items MUST be in good, working condition and any clean clothing brought on hangers if possible. No undergarments, cosmetics, toiletries, sleepwear, etc. 

We need lots of volunteers on Thursday 3/27, Friday 3/28 and Saturday 3/29! If you can help, contact Laura.

Continue to join in prayer for our Christian brothers and sisters and the people of Ukraine who do not want to go under Russian rule.  Our very own missionaries to the Ukraine, Jim & Annie Leonovich, are keeping close tabs on the situation.  It was wonderful hearing from  Pastor Peter direct from the Ukraine last Sunday and praying for his ministry.

A special thank you to all who attended our Christmas Together Concert at the McCallum Theatre.  Under Pastor Tom's direction, the songs from the worship choir and soloist were such a blessing .  You could feel the spirit of the Lord in that place.  It really was a night of beautiful Christmas music, expressing the joy we share in Christ's birth!

Praise Report from our missionaries, John & Rachel Hiskey, in Guinea Bissau: 
"Good New! Good News! Good News for 2014.  We have wonderful praises to share with you.  The Imam of the main mosque of the Gabu area (right behind our house) called a meeting of all the Christian Pastors.  The Muslims have set a joint prayer meeting of all Catholics, Muslims and Christians to meet at the governor's palace to pray in unity for PEACE in Guinea Bissau.  What a break through. They would not have included us unless they were frightened about the political situation and recognized the power of our prayers in Jesus' name.  Things are really changing here in Guinea Bissau.  Please pray for favor for the Christians and for salvation for all the others in attendance.  Ask for a great move of the Holy Spirit, that the scales on their eyes would be removed so that they could see that our God is one of love, salvation, and grace."

On a personal note, Fred and I, are the proud grandparents of Reagan born on Dec. 13, 2013.  She's healthy, beautiful and the perfect Christmas gift for our family.
